Koma hingað, come hither and answer the call to Folksmoot: Viking Raid Weekend – 2026, a Viking-inspired living history and fantasy immersion event held in Charlton, Massachusetts. For three days, a small Viking village rises in the green fields and woodlands of Central Massachusetts, filling the land with crafting, combat training, games, and full Norse immersion.
Begin your journey as the community gathers to prepare for the voyage ahead, assembling era-appropriate kit and dress to live as true Norsemen throughout the weekend. Once encampment is raised, daily life takes hold, the hearth must stay lit, the cooking pot kept full, and the work of the camp carried on as the village thrives.
If glory calls to you, take up sword and shield and dedicate your trials to the All-Father. Participants train with period-appropriate weapons and armor using a safe and immersive Viking combat system, sparring with fellow warriors in preparation to raid the Abbey and fight for their Jarl in a true Viking raid reenactment.
Whether your path places you on the front lines, supporting your fellows with bow, poultice, or craft, or tending the needs of the camp, the choice is yours. Folksmoot welcomes many roles within the Viking community, all contributing to the shared experience.
